Dartmouth swimming debate gets underway

A landmark meeting between South Hams District Council and Dartmouth Town Council has taken place (Wednesday 28 May) to consider swimming provision in the town.

District council leader Cllr John Tucker, fellow district councillors and Dartmouth Town Councillors reviewed the outcomes from the town council's ISRM Swimming Pool Study along with the district council's Strategic Swimming Study, which looked at proposals for facilities across the South Hams, including the proposed new community at Sherford and the outdoor pool at Ivybridge.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange ideas between interested parties and identify any issues which might prevent a project working for Dartmouth.
